Annual Design Conference

The AIA Colorado 2008 Design Conference & Practice Management Symposium will take place Sept. 25-27, at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. The conference theme is Design Forward, and the conference committee has assembled a group of speakers that will inspire attendees to focus their efforts both on design excellence and creating a more environmentally-conscious, community-driven and socially-responsible profession.

The conference opens with the Practice Management Symposium on Thursday, Sept. 25. The symposium gives attendees the opportunity to learn practical skills for managing a design firm or business. The Practice Management Symposium is a wonderful opportunity for young architects and interns to learn more about the business side of the architectural profession.

This year’s symposium sessions will focus on improving operational efficiency and office flow. Practitioners from small and large firms will benefit from these informative workshops. For more information about this year’s Practice Management Symposium sessions and speakers download the registration brochure, or click here.

The Design Conference, on Sept. 26-27, will give attendees the opportunity to earn continuing education credits, mingle with other design industry professionals and attend exciting lectures, keynote presentations and breakout sessions. The conference will feature a number of exciting speakers, including Alex Steffen, Gregory Papay, FAIA, James Timberlake, FAIA, James Polshek, FAIA, Sandy Mendler, AIA, Gary Lawrence and Randy Brown, FAIA.
