Transfers & Updates

AIA and Associate AIA members: If you have moved into/out-of the state of Colorado, or if you have moved into/out-of your local chapter, you will need to transfer your AIA membership. Download the transfer form and return it to:

Professional Affiliate and Student Affiliate members can transfer within the state of Colorado only. Transfers will occur automatically when the update address form is completed. Professional Affiliate and Student Affiliate memberships cannot transfer to other AIA state chapters/components.

Upgrades

Members are eligible to upgrade from Associate AIA to AIA once they are currently licensed to practice architecture in the United States. A copy of your current license is required to process your membership.

Members are eligible to upgrade from AIA to Emeritus if they have been AIA members for 15 successive years and are 65 years of age, are 60 years of age and fully retired, or are incapacitated and unable to work in the profession.
